Bringing Tingly Ted's to life: A saucy collaboration with Heinz and Ed Sheeran

This project stands out as one of our all-time favorites... We had the incredible opportunity to bring Tingly Ted's to life with the Heinz team, and the results were nothing short of epic.

With a tight turnaround, Creatisan took the reins to source the van, chefs, and creative assets. We handled the branding, logistics, and seamless execution of the event, making sure every detail was perfect. Before delivering the event, we arranged a cook-up at The Shard to confidently serve tasty pizza from our Tingly Ted's food van, which had a kitchen and stonebaked pizza oven. Our chefs made pizza, but Tingly!

The event was hosted at Sainsbury's London Colney Superstore, with a surprise visit from Ed Sheeran to personally serve up some Tingly Pizzas alongside our chefs! Huge crowds extending into the car park gathered around the van as they tried to get up close and personal with the superstar.

Fans and shoppers were delighted as Ed signed 'Sauce-O-Graphs' with Tingly Ted's. He spiced up the weekly shop by signing fans' everyday essentials, from bread and broccoli to sushi and cheddar cheese. A saucy signed kitchen even roll made it onto eBay in minutes! People brought classic items like vinyl, sneakers, and t-shirts, which were also signed with the sauce.

Elisa Rossini, Heinz International Marketing & Innovation Manager, commented, "Bringing this all to life was truly a highlight, both personally and for the brand's success, capping off a full-scale Tingly Ted's activation that's already driven sky-high sales and now incredible press coverage! A true testament to the strength of creative thinking, teamwork, and strategic partnerships."

Ed Sheeran added, "It was super exciting popping into Sainsbury's and surprising some shoppers. Tingly Teds has been such a fun project so far, hope everyone is enjoying mixing it with whatever food they like. I'm still discovering meals that it makes even better."

The lifelong hot sauce obsessive and co-creator of Tingly Ted's dreamed of making the ketchup of hot sauces to be dolloped onto everything... Burgers, eggs, pizza, you name it! So he teamed up with Heinz to co-create a hot sauce, and last year, Tingly Ted's was born! After a year of whittling down the perfect flavours with the Heinz mixing team, they settled on two absolute belters - 'Tingly' and 'Xtra Tingly', retailing for £3 a bottle. Tingly Ted's is named after Ed's childhood nickname.
